There are a lot of notch apps. Most try to do everything.

A few things.Done perfectly.

Your notch, made useful.

Claude Code approvals, messages you can answer, a player with lyrics and a file shelf, in your Mac's notch. Free, and it all stays on your Mac.

Not notarized by Apple, so macOS asks you to click Open Anyway once. Why and how

  • Free
  • macOS 26+
  • Apple silicon
  • Nothing leaves your Mac

Five things. One island.

Also: a volume and brightness bar, power alerts, Caffeine, and a button that hides desktop files for clean recordings. Every extra is a switch in Settings.

On-device. Apple Intelligence runs on your Mac.

Local only. The Claude Code hook listens on 127.0.0.1 with a secret token.

Your choice. Every extra is a switch in Settings.

DOWNLOAD

Get it in a minute.

Not notarized. Notarizing needs a paid Apple Developer account, and I am not able to enroll in it. The app is signed ad-hoc and the source is public. The first time you open the download, macOS shows a warning: click Done, then open System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to Notch+.

OR WITH HOMEBREW

brew tap Nurik-dz/notch-plus https://github.com/Nurik-dz/notch-plus
brew trust nurik-dz/notch-plus
brew install --cask notch-plus

Homebrew clears the warning for you (newer versions ask you to trust a third-party tap first, which is the second line). Needs a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later. Then open Settings, Connect Claude Code (you see the exact change first, and a backup is saved) and give Notch+ Full Disk Access so it can read notifications and Messages.

Build it yourself
# needs the full Xcode
git clone https://github.com/Nurik-dz/notch-plus.git
cd notch-plus
./build.sh
open Notch+.app

Using it?
Tell me what's missing.

Notch+ is young and your feedback shapes it. A screenshot or a short screen recording helps a lot.
